Lynk Biotechnologies Pte Ltd (Lynk Biotech) is a fast expanding Singapore-based pharmaceutical company dedicated to the application of revolutionary technologies for the design and development of innovative healthcare and cosmetic products and services. Spun off from National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2000 by Associate Professor Lee Chee Wee from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Lynk Biotech has since established two subsidiary companies and a strong portfolio of platform technologies, products and services.

MediLynk Pte Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lynk Biotech. Founded in 2004, it has wide-ranging commercial responsibilities, including international business development, sales, marketing and distribution.

Lynk Biotech is also the parent company of DynaLynk Pharma Pte Ltd, a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that has pharmaceutical GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certification accredited by the Health Sciences Authority of Singapore (HSA).  Besides the large scale manufacturing capabilities of DynaLynk Pharma, Lynk Biotech also possesses smaller scale pilot batch manufacturing capabilities.  These manufacturing capabilities are complemented by an in-house quality testing laboratory.

A Technology-Based Company

Lynk Biotech is a technology driven company that has the capabilities to develop its own technologies and apply them to products for everyday life.

One of its first technologies resulted in a series of products that helped prevent excessive hair shedding.  The flagship product is Biolyn Hair Serum, which, together with the platform technology, was sold to Hong Kong-based Company Lo Hong Ka in 2003.

Following the success of Biolyn Hair Serum, Lynk Biotech developed its clinically-proven proprietary Transdermal Delivery Technology which enables water-soluble molecules to be delivered across the skin into the body.  This technology allows active ingredients which were traditionally taken orally to be made into cream for direct application on the required body area.

The advantage of transdermal technology is that it is able to deliver higher concentrations of the desired active ingredient through the skin into the body, bypassing the gastrointestinal tract, hence avoiding irritation to the gastrointestinal tract that occurs with frequent oral medication.  Also, transdermal delivery prevents the problem of breakdown of ingredients in the gastrointestinal tract even before targeted delivery has been achieved.

With this platform technology, Lynk has developed a range of products which includes the flagship product TGC (Transdermal Glucosamine Cream)TGC is a product for improving and maintaining joint health.  It contains glucosamine which helps to repair and regenerate damaged and worn out cartilage.

Riding on the same Transdermal Delivery Technology are ANDRO Cream For men and JUMPSTART Instant Energy Cream. ANDRO Cream For Men is a topical cream containing a herbal extract Butea superba that can help improve blood circulation for men with erectile dysfunction conditions.JUMPSTART Instant Energy Cream is a novel product that delivers Ribose, Creatine, Carnitine and Caffeine into muscles to power them instantly for intense physical activities, thereby enhancing physical performance.

In Singapore, Lynk Biotech distributes its products to all major retail stores and hospital pharmacies.  It also has distribution partners in the region.
