  TGC® Active

TGC®Active delivers glucosamine directly to joints for maintenance of healthy joints and cartilage.
Regular application of TGC® Active will help to keep your joints healthy even as you engage in vigorous physical activities. Healthy joints greatly reduce the risk of the onset of severe joint pains in old age.

What is glucosamine?
Glucosamine is one of the primary building blocks of cartilage and is absolutely necessary to keep your joints healthy especially if you lead an active lifestyle. It helps to regenerate the cartilage that cushions the joints and absorbs the impact of everyday movements. Unfortunately, glucosamine is not available in our normal diet.

What is cartilage?
Cartilage is the shock-absorbing, gel-like material that protects the bones at the joints. Healthy cartilage cushions the impact of the bones rubbing against each other and enables us to carry out our normal physical activities effortlessly and painlessly.

Why Transdermal?
Water-soluble drugs, like glucosamine, are normally not able to cross the skin as the skin is a natural barrier to water. Hence, they are traditionally made in an oral form to be absorbed into the blood stream through our digestive system.

When consumed orally, glucosamine gets metabolised by the digestive system resulting in only a small proportion finally reaching the blood stream. Furthermore, high dosage of oral glucosamine may cause distress to our gastrointestinal tract.

TGC®Active uses a clinically proven proprietary Transdermal Technology to deliver glucosamine through the skin directly into the blood stream. The localized topical application of TGC® Active enables the delivery of a high concentration of glucosamine directly to the affected joint areas, speeding up the regeneration of damaged cartilage.

Please refer to graph 1 for the transdermal profile of TGC, which has been generated from data collected from a clinical study conducted in Singapore.

Who can use TGC® Active?
TGC® Active is suitable for all who wish to keep their joints healthy right into old age. It is especially needed for those who lead a physically active lifestyle to help regenerate the cartilage that suffer accelerated wear and tear due to vigorous activities.

For those who are already experiencing joint problems, we would recommend usage of TGC® High Strength or TGC®Plus Capsaicin until improvements are observed.

How long should i use TGC® Active?
Your body requires a constant supply of glucosamine as building block for cartilage and other tissues, You should apply TGC® Active everyday to keep these tissues in good health especially if you maintain an active lifestyle.

Is TGC® Active suitable for use by children?
Glucosamine can be used by children who suffer from joint problems. Children below 12 years old normally do not require TGC® Active as their bodies are usually able to produce sufficient amounts of glucosamine. However, in cases of active physical activities, TGC® Active can be used as a supplement.
